Do Keys expire?
Do earned Keys ever expire?
- Keys earned by adding a week to the Exchange expire 24 months from the date they are issued. For Keys earned upfront, the issue date is when your week is approved. For last-minute*, Off-Season, and Name Your Price* weeks, the issue date is when the week is reserved.
- You must use your Keys to book a stay by the expiration date, but your travel can take place after the Key expiration.
- Terms and conditions may apply for special promotions.
Examples:
- A member adds a July 1–8, 2027 week to the Exchange. The week is approved on January 15, 2027, and the member earns 4 Keys. Because the Keys are issued on the approval date, they expire on January 15, 2029.
- A member adds a last-minute or Off-Season week of August 1–7, 2027 to the Exchange and earns 3 Keys. The week is reserved on July 27, 2027. Because the Keys are issued on the reservation date, they expire on July 27, 2029.
*Last-minute weeks are those added fewer than 90 days from the start date for standalone properties or fewer than 60 days from the start date for affiliate properties.
*Name Your Price weeks are those listed at a higher Key value than the value originally assigned to the week.
